you're the last person on (a) AOL dial up on (b) your parents' dime.

As one of my students said today, "How do you say "OOOO, SNAP!" in German??"

Thats the THING, I spend a little over $50 a month for high speed internet access through Comcast, yet still I am held hostage by my Slovak-inspired e-mail address through AOL. I feel like changing it would mess up my life force!

(but yes, I was mooching free dial up access through their AOL for a while there)

Can you even DO a "then and now" list when you are only going back five or six years?

My grandma is the only person who still uses AOL. Well that is a lie, she can't even work her vcr. She's 86, give her a break.

Now you've gone and done it Erik... you've tainted my blog with the screwton....

I often times have these fuzzy memories of college, and I tend to idealize the whole experience- as if it really were the most magical 4 years of all time. And then I remember thinks like that, and I can't help but realize that life actually does seem to get better and better every year. Thank God...

Oh- He's supposed to come home next May or so.

I am amazed at how easily men can bond over seeminly rediculous objects. Likes Mason Jars (filled with beer).

AOL, a retro revival? Verrry hipster of you, Gina. Well done for innovation. And that's even sorta like recycling, too. So double points.

I see the Sea-town connection, so I've just dropped by to inform you that it's been a scorching nintey degrees for the past three days here, and sleeping in my non-airconditioned house is a near-impossibility.

What happened to our lovely, mild seattle??
