But I don't know where to find it!?! Does anyone know where I can get some Hamm's Beer these days? Preferably in the Greater DC metro area?!?
I'm assuming that if it is still in production that it is brewed by Miller, Coors or Bud. Does anyone make it at all? I so wish THIS was the beer that got all hip and cool instead of PBR.... that would have ensured its longevity....
I have a sad suspicion that it might be extinct, but I will wait, with guarded optimism, for any advice or tips.

none of the biggies made it and yes, it's extinct...apparently only the jingle is what made the beer noteworthy...
oh and look ebay has a ton of hamm's stuff

ok i am soooo procastinating writing out the procedure list for putting in an ng tube in order to suction out someone's stomach contents....yummy.
Suctioning stomach contents, oh my! I'd like to think that knowing about aging 'n stuff would force me into eating with restraint, but alas-- Ben and Jerry's Phish Food makes it really hard for me to demonstrate restraint!
But back to the subject of Hamm's-- Their logo was catchy! So pure...I want to doubt that they intentionally were marketing toward coming-of-age girl scouts, but...hmm?
ok i glanced at the logo-- I guess it's just the shape of the logo that reminds me of a girl scout BADGE, which reminds me of a comment I heard off-blog from the host of this blog :)
Right, the looped out bear wouldn't be approved by GS leaders. I'm sort of surprised, but a bit comforted by the fact that I haven't seen that many pre-packaged Twisted Girl Scout costumes (along with usual cleavage devil-angel/French maid/MarieAntoinette/etcetc).
Don't get me wrong- I love the badgirl idea, just get annoyed with prepackaged 'sexual' images that make women over the age of 9 feel unsexy, and program men to associate sexiness with that whole prepubescent look. AGK!
My Halloween inspiration this year is Fiona-- I want to be some sort of monster--My efforts usually come out a bit confused looking, so thank goodness the parents/ kids are real gracious.
oooh, halloween, I'm going to wear my scrubs and a witch hat...a far cry from naughty nurse that hubby wants...but it works for me now...
and anne, yes, quite scary when 9 year olds are going after the sexy costumes...hellooooo let's wake up parents!
i'll have to link ginapalooza to my girlscout friend and see if she wants to do have her brownies do a beer patch...oh wait, maybe..it's a patch for the girlscout moms who have had enough of carting brownies and girlscouts to horse camp????
ok, gotta go study...
Thanks for the laughs TZ-
Beer patch! :)
Scrubs and witch hat, oh yeah!
Thinking about all the driving parents do gives me a wake up call to stop my mopin'!
Happy Halloweeeeeeen
P.S. I got a top secret call from two power rangers based out of Miami...
Hamm's is still available in Portland, OR, I had one a couple of weeks ago...
On a completely separate note, I saw this story and immediately thought of you and your stolen bike story... enjoy
